SIMDE Fundraising Overview
The Southridge Instrumental Music and Dance Ensembles (SIMDE) fundraising efforts benefit one or both as follows:
Credits Earned Towards Fair Share — allowing individuals to earn the money they need to participate.
General Band Account — which supports all the operations of the band beyond the director (paid for by the school district) uniforms, field staff, flags, visuals, equipment maintenance, and many other things.
SIMDE is a 501-C-3 tax-exempt organization. It is against policy to refund ANY monies gained through fundraising opportunities. Should a Band or Ensemble student begin fundraising and leave the organization, that money CANNOT be refunded. It will be moved to the general account or can be used against a sibling’s fees. If the Band or Ensemble student should raise funds OVER the required funds for a given year, those funds can roll forward to the next year’s fees for the student or a sibling (if the student is a senior).
Please put the student’s name on all written materials submitted rather than the parent’s name. Also, please note that any returned checks are subject to a $8 fee.
